YOUNG GUITARISTS is an education program launched in 2024. Latin youth are given free guitars and weekly lessons to engage and inspire them through the power of music. The program is provided in collaboration with Casa de la Cultura of Nuestras Raíces in Highlandtown, Baltimore.

JÓVENES GUITARRISTAS es un programa educativo lanzado en 2024. Jóvenes latinos reciben guitarras gratis y lecciones semanales para involucrarlos e inspirarlos a través del poder de la música. El programa se ofrece en colaboración con la Casa de la Cultura de Nuestras Raíces en Highlandtown, Baltimore.

The guitar is portable, flexible, polyphonic, and approachable. The guitar’s popularity makes it an obvious choice for many who wish to learn an instrument.

Yes, we accept donated nylon string guitars. We do not use steel string guitars.

All donations are recognized with a letter and are tax deductible as permissible by law. We recognize both donated funds and in-kind donations such as guitars and footstools in our concert programs.

The Baltimore Classical Guitar Society would like to thank the Augustine Foundation for providing the funds to open a location in Baltimore City and to Elville Center for the Creative Arts and the Guitar Center Music Foundation for providing instrument for the program.
