This new BCGS Artist-in-Residence program will bring an outstanding guitarist–for free–to local schools, institutions, and community centers, to share their artistry with students and ensembles in master classes, workshops, group classes, and with lecture/demonstrations.

The BCGS-AIR for 2019-2020 is Meng Su.

Meng Su says: “I’m honored to be the Artist-In-Residence for the Baltimore Classical Guitar Society. I believe strongly that we artists need to be involved with our communities; it inspires and nurtures our artistry, and personally it gives me great pleasure to share my music with music lovers young and old in my community.”

If you are a music teacher in a Maryland high school, a guitar teacher at a community center or a senior center, and are interested in having Meng Su visit your program, please contact us here.

And if you are a music lover and would like to attend one of the events, we will post the BCGS-AIR activity on our website under “Events in the Area” as they become available.

This program is made possible by Turner and Judy Smith and the Cape Foundation, and the Maryland State Arts Council. Thank you.
