Gabriel Bianco is considered one of today’s finest classical guitarists. Born in 1988 in Paris, Bianco began playing the guitar with his father. In 1997, he entered the Conservatoire National de Région of Paris under Ramon de Herrera. In 2005, he was unanimously admitted to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, studying with Olivier Chassain. He received his guitar diploma in 2008 and his chamber music diploma in 2015, both with the highest honors. Bianco also studied under Judicaël Perroy.

Bianco’s accolades include being named Classical Revelation of ADAMI in 2011. He has won numerous first prizes in international guitar competitions, such as the 2008 Guitar Foundation of America, 2007 International Guitar Competition of Koblenz, and 2012 International Classical Guitar Contest “Andrés Segovia” in Almuñecar, Spain.

In addition to his classical repertoire, Bianco is active in New Music. He has collaborated with composers such as Atanas Ourkouzounov, Sergio Assad, Karol Beffa, and others, contributing to the creation of new works for solo guitar and chamber ensembles.

Since 2018, Gabriel Bianco has served as a Senior Docent at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where he teaches individual guitar lessons and heads the classical guitar department.
